Summary
Thanking him for the gift of a book. Discussing the Catalogue of the Library at Gad's Hill (MA 967.1), explaining that the bookplate of his father Charles Dickens appears on the flyleaf of the item since it is a catalogue of his library. Noting that it was probably not prepared during his father's lifetime, but rather by his brother Charles Dickens, Jr. on his inheritance of the library in 1870.
