Summary
Emphatically complaining that since his letter of earlier the same day (not extant), "the Pump has broken down again," and that "the Rochester man" [doing renovations and repairs on Gad's Hill] says "he'd rather have nothink to do with that 'ere infernal ma-sheen." Begging Austin "Pray help me! Pray, pray save me from bankruptcy and Despair!!"
