Summary
Discussing Forster's upcoming visiting to Tempo House with Mrs. Forster; mentioning a letter from Mamie Dickens; regretting that Charles Dickens cannot come to Ireland; asking Forster whether he can pressure to Dickens to come for at least a few days; noting that he heard from Mamie Dickens that Charles Dickens "intends to dedicate his new work [Our Mutual Friend] to me!!! -- I cannot tell you how this has charmed me. It seems like attaining the garter of literature, to have such an honor paid me by Dickens."
