Discussing the plumbing at Gad's Hill Place, noting that the plumbers must bore another ten feet lower to prevent the possibility of "a choking with sullage." Mentioning that they are also must "insert 'a rose-headed pipe'; at the mention of which implement, [Dickens is] (secretly) wellnigh distracted: having no idea what it means."
