Summary
Agreeing to publish Katie's poem and discussing his work on Little Dorrit. Noting that Stanfield and Cunningham intend to visit Dickens in Boulogne, and wishing that Macready were to visit as well. Suggesting Macready read the next installment (in Household Words) of The Diary of Anne Rodway by Collins, praising it as "possess[ing] great merit and real pathos." Mentioning that Dickens knows of "noting of public interest that is new in France, except that [he is] changing [his] mustache into a beard."
