Summary
Noting that on the receipt of Thompson's "second letter" concerning Frederick and Anna Dickens estrangement [written in response to Dickens' letter of 27 Oct., MA 105.68], Dickens wrote to his brother Frederick and they had an appointment during which they discussed "the Dorking affair." Describing the appointment, noting that although Dickens "advised him with the greatest emphasis" to settle at least an allowance on his wife, he has not the "faintest reason to suppose that he attached a feather's weight to anything" Dickens said.
