Summary
Thanking Lorentz for his assistance in placing Ernest Albee in the publicity position in the Information Division of the Farm Security Administration (see MA 6426.26-27). Discussing in detail his as yet unnamed "The Grapes of Wrath," mentioning that he is hard at work, and noting that if he "can only do the job well enough, a complete picture of a migrant family will emerge." Mentioning that the "Associated Farmers [of California] have started their red scare" and that many migrants think "that the bloody fight will come this fall when the cotton is ready." Noting that "the book should be done by cotton time," and stating: "so far it's a pretty good book, I hope."
