Collection consists of 19 letters to Dickens' publishers Chapman and Hall (MA 109.1-19); 4 letters relating to theatrical productions in 1833 and 1852 (MA 109-20-21, 23-24); 2 additional letters, one in the form of a mock affidavit (MA 109.22 and 25); a draft of an agreement between All the Year Round and Frances Trollope (MA 109.26); two pages from Dickens' 1833 burlesque O'Thello (MA 109.27); a page from the manuscript of Nicholas Nickleby (MA 109.28); a satirical essay (MA 109.29); and a facetious list of book titles (MA 109.30). Correspondence with Chapman and Hall concerns exclusively business matters, with frequent mention of the publication of the Cheap Edition of Dickens' works.
