Part of a collection of 39 journals written by Thoreau between 1837 and 1861. Journals are described in 39 individual records.
Parts of this journal were written while he was on a trip to Minnesota. The entry of May 11, 1861 ends, "Set out for Minnesota," and subsequent entries are written from Worcester and Albany.
The journal is only half full.
