Summary
Expressing regret that he missed Lorentz's telephone calls and radio broadcasts [of "Ecce Homo!"]. Noting that he has "just finished a book and it is lousy, so [he is] throwing it away," and has returned to his long work "with enthusiasm and ... some force." Discussing Hollywood and Broadway. Hoping that Lorentz can visit soon, as Steinbeck "has a feeling [they] could work together and [that he doesn't] feel that way about anyone else."
