Summary
Saying that it is his lot to be wrong and his duty to ask her pardon; explaining that he has not been able to read her letters because he has not had time to himself; promising to throw himself at her feet tonight if he can find a moment; noting that he is going to Versailles tomorrow but will do anything to be available on Monday; stressing that he is not lying and that his wrongs against her bear no relation to his feelings for her.
