Summary
Noting Collins is "obliged to end the story [i.e., The Woman in White] in August" and therefore has "less time to spare than ever." Asking Ward to pay his insurance for him, and to check the address of Hachette's shop in France and to mail an enclosed letter there. Inviting Ward to pot-luck "at six on Monday next," when Collins can repay Ward for the insurance. Hoping the commissions do not trouble Ward, explaining that Collins is "half distracted with the hurry about ending the book."
