Summary
Thanking Severn for photographs of her family and home, and discussing them. Mentioning that Mrs. Garraway dined with the Alexanders, noting that while they were visiting "[Severn's] Queen drove by the windows on her way from the station." Enclosing Severn's letter for Mr. Newman (first discussed in a letter (MA 7363.54) dated 16 February 1893). With a postscript discussing a "most unfortunate copy of one of F[rancesca]'s drawings" made by Mr. Collingwood's protégé, asking Severn to request Mr. Collingwood to destroy the copies and negatives, as Swett "should be sorry anything should exist giving such a false idea of her work." Expressing disbelief that Mr. Collingwood "could have sent such a failure to [Swett]," noting "it is really painful."
