Expressing great happiness that Severn's "D.P." (John Ruskin) is so much better, attributing his recovery to milk, and assuring Severn that she will have her reward. Thanking Miss Anderson for her daily accounts, noting that "S." (Sorella, i.e., Francesca) values them particularly. Discussing Lily's (Severn's daughter) delicate health, nerves, and upcoming visit to an undisclosed family, during which she "might be told not to mention she was in the house." (i.e., the same house as Ruskin?)
