Summary
Thanking Severn for her letters and photographs, noting that what she "especially admires in [Severn's photograph] are the mouth and chin, ... the picturesque hair, and the hand with the small taper finger," and that Mr. Severn is "such a handsome young man," and that his whiskers should be "permitted to pass into a beard, which, when it is handsome, is so very becoming." Wishing that the Severns were in Florence with Mrs. Furneaux, and noting that Letizia visited last evening.
