Notes
Signed "Your affectionate Sorella Francesca."
The year is not noted in Alexander's date, but this letter continues discussions (about the Severn's upcoming trip) begun in MA 7362.157 (which was certainly written after John Ruskin's death, 20 January 1900). In a related letter (MA 7362.158) dated 20 March, Alexander mentions Tuesday, 27 March (27 March occured on a Tuesday in 1900 and 1907). In letters (MA 7362.133 and MA 7362.136) dated 26 November 1903 and 17 November 1904, respectively, Alexander references the Severn's trip to Italy.
Alexander's failing eyesight impeded her letter writing, and this letter is written in another hand, with Alexander penning only her signature.
Part of a large collection of letters primarily from Francesca Alexander to Joan Severn. Items in this collection are described in individual records.
Summary
Concerning the Severn's upcoming visit to Florence. Regretting that Severn has taken ill on the journey (in Cannes?).
