Summary
Thankin Severn for sending plants, and Alexander's terrace garden [in Florence]. Thanking Severn for her offer to send more yellow poppies, but declining the offer as "the climate [in Florence] is too warm for them," and noting that "they never blossomed after the first year." With a postscript from Alexander's "Mammina," Lucia Gray Swett Alexander, thanking Severn for the "magnificent present," which has made her "the gratefullest of human beings."
