Summary
Concerning the publication of Ruskin's correspondence, noting that "it is absolutely impossible to think of those letters [from John Ruskin to Alexander] being copied or published," and that Alexander has "never shown the greater number of them to anyone [as] they are so very private," some having been "written when he was not himself and ... contain[ing] remarks that might be painful to people still living." Thanking Severn for sending to Alexander's "Mammina," Lucia Gray Swett Alexander, Alexander's letters and papers in Severn's possession.
