Summary
Concerning the death of Alexander's "Fratello," John Ruskin, noting that Severn's telegram arrived late in the night of 20 January, and thanking her for "thinking of [the Alexanders] in the first hour of so great a sorrow." Noting that "the change in [Severn's] life will be very sad [especially] because he had become so dependent upon [her]," and also noting that Ruskin "died on the anniversary of ... Ida's death."
