Concerning the health of Alexander's "Fratello," John Ruskin, trusting "that he may still have much to enjoy in his life," and expressing great happiness over a letter from Severn "containing [her] Fratello's affectionate message." Also expressing gladness that Severn has "save[d] the beautiful country about [her] from being spoilt by division into house-lots," and concluding the letter abruptly because Alexander's "eyes are so misty."
