Summary
Giving a detailed account of the illness of Alexander's "Mammina," Lucia Gray Swett Alexander, and the ensuing surgery by Dr. Lawson Tait to remove a large tumor. Also describing in particular detail the prayers of Edwidge, Alexander's maid, and expressing sadness that Severn's visit to Florence (scheduled for March or April 1891) has been put off.
