Discussing Alexander's travel from Venice to Airolo, part of which, "owing to the very awkward arrangement of the railroad trains, [they] were obliged to make partly at night." Also concerning the improving health of Alexander's "Fratello," John Ruskin: when comparing his current health to that of last winter, Alexander "cannot be thankful enough for the change."
