Summary
Telling him that "a good many pictures are ... awaiting [his] approval" at the engraver; informing him that he hopes to publish Sylvie and Bruno concluded for Christmas and needs the illustrations as soon as possible; chiding him for straying from the text in his illustrations: "You do give me a lot of extra trouble by ignoring the text so much! Several passages I have re-written, in order to make the text agree with the picture."
