Summary
Relating an evening walk. Also discussing the Alexanders travel plans: that they will leave Abetone within the week, but will probably not travel to Bassano as the cholera was still "hanging on." Mentioning that they have stayed in Abetone "so long" because Alexander's "Mammina," Lucia Gray Swett Alexander, wants Alexander to "secure likenesses of some of the finest faces here (to be worked up into saints and angels afeterwards)." Again thanking Mr. Severn for the "most valuable present" of cardboard, and mentioning that she does the honor to his present by doing "some of [her] best work on it."
