Summary
Commenting on a picture of Sylvie and a picture of "5 p.m. tea"; informing him that Swain (the engraver) "announces it's quite impossible to get pictures done for Xmas"; observing that "this upsets everything" because winter sales of Sylvie and Bruno are likely to be 5000-10,000 less without Christmas sales; noting that now they can take their time and avoid "all risks that attend the working, at high pressure, against time."
