Summary
Concerning the decline in health of Alexander's "Fratello," John Ruskin, and the ill health of Severn's baby. A postscript in response to a letter received from Severn (after the body of Alexander's letter had already been written and signed) gives thanks for the news that the health Alexander's "Fratello" has improved to the extent that he asked after "his Sorella."
