Notes
For Pietro Petrucci, see Alexander's "Theresa and Petrucci" in her Roadside Songs of Tuscany.
Letter is undated, but is in response to Severn's letter of Monday the 12th (12 July 1886?).
On the verso of the letter is the last page of a letter from "Mammina" (Lucia Gray Swett Alexander), also discussing the health of John Ruskin, and mentioning that she would like to send to Severn a box of sweets just received from "Prince Ghika" and splendid roses received from Pietro Petrucci, but that she is unable to do so due to a lack of stamps.
Part of a large collection of letters primarily from Francesca Alexander to Joan Severn. Items in this collection are described in individual records.
Signed "from your affectionate and most grateful Sorella."
