Summary
Sending a copy of a photograph (not included in this collection) of a boy and girl "whose faces [would] do for the children" in Sylvie and Bruno; enclosing a "little story" for him to consider "how to illustrate it" (story not included in this collection); noting that he does not like "Gilbert's illustrations" because the characters "both look grown-up"; describing the plot of his book in which two children of high rank "run away & become fairies"; emphasizing that the children's clothes should be "as fanciful as plausible."
