Gerstein was the set designer for the original production of En attendant Godot at the Théâtre de Babylone, Paris, in 1953.
Part of a collection related to Beckett's En attendant Godot that includes a carbon copy of the typescript of the play, two printed invitations to the opening night performance, two programs for the original production, a photograph of the original stage set, an autograph letter signed from Beckett to Gerstein, and lighting and set notes in Gerstein's hand. The typescript is bound; the rest of the material is loose. These items are now described individually as MA 5071.1-6.
