With postmark and remnant of wafer, addressed to Miss Austen, Steventon, Overton, Hants [Hampshire]; written from 13, Queen Square.
The final page of the letter includes messages to Cassandra dictated to Jane Austen by her brother Edward's children Fanny-Catherine and Edward. The children have signed their messages with their initials (FAC and EA).
Forms part of a collection of 41 letters from Austen to her sister and two prints (MA 977.1-43).
