Bound in a volume containing 15 of Ainsworth's letters, 2 engravings, and signed autograph agreements for the publication of 8 of his novels.
Note in Ainsworth's hand on the final page: "Agreement for two Editions of 'The Constable of the Tower.'"
This copy of the publication agreement is signed by Ainsworth; Chapman and Hall would have signed a second copy and returned it to Ainsworth.
