On stationery printed with "5, Arundel Terrace, Brighton" (Ainsworth's residence in Brighton) in the upper right corner and a crest with "vi et virtute" in the upper left corner.
Probably written to Chapman and Hall, the publishers of the first edition of The Spanish match.
Summary
Informing the recipient that he intends to change the title of his new novel to The Spanish match, to publish it on June 15th, and to spend £100 "at [his] own cost" to advertise the book; requesting the recipient to sign and return the publication agreement; giving the publisher the right of selling a "cheap edition" to W.H. Smith & Son.
