Formerly in the possession of Sir Thomas Phillips. Sold by Sotheby's in 1903 (with Robert Saxton's survey of Sandal, MA 7266) to Maggs Brothers of London for £1 11s 0d.
Summary
Titled "A Survey of the demayne Landes of the Maner of Acworth made ('made' is deleted and 'taken" inserted supralineally) by Christopher Saxton In July. Ano: Dni 1596." A note at the end states that: ". . . the common pasture wherein the lord haith xl yaites is not surveied nor the milne neither the common" and signed "Christ : Saxton." Titled on verso: "1596 / A Survey of the / Mannour of Ackworth / Chris: Saxton."
