Summary
In various hands. Initial address in Clarke's hand -- "Albemarle Street, London" -- crossed out; readdressed to "Henrietta St, Covent Garden" (Austen's brother Henry's address); readdressed to "Chawton, Alton." Franked "Clarence." Originally contained a letter from James Stanier Clarke thanking her on behalf of the Prince Regent for a copy of Emma and suggesting that perhaps her next novel could be dedicated to the Prince.
