Summary
Addressing Reiche as "Dear esteemed colleague" this letter is an effusive expression of Haber's strong friendly and collegial sentiments towards Reiche, in spite of Haber's apprehension of an apparent estrangement between the two scientists. Troubled by their recent lack of communication Haber feels that he may have been moved from the "living room" to the "stranger's room [spare room]" in Reiche's affections and regard, but is pleased to receive Reiche's letter, and is reassured that all is well again.
