Summary
Collection consists of 9 letters to Sir Edward Altham at Marke Hall, Essex (MA 3200.1-3, 5-10). Three of these letters (MA 3200.1-3) were written from Pautext [i.e., Plymouth, Mass.] and describe the plantation and leaders of the colony. The remaining six letters (MA 3200.5-10) describe naval expeditions in India, his life and travel there, and his illness from fevers. Collection also contains one letter (MA 3200.4) from his brother-in-law Ralph Hawtry to Sir Edward Altham, regarding Emmanuel Altham's financial losses in New England. Collection also contains a memorandum (MA 3200.11) certifying the death of Emmanuel Altham in 1635.
