Part of a large collection of letters related to the trial of Warren Hastings; see collection-level record (MA 176-177) for more information.
The letter is not dated, however, there are notations signed by Sir Peter Burrell at the top of the letter indicating that tickets were sent to her in 1792 and 1793.
The recipient is not identified, however the salutation is "Madam;" another letter from Mrs. Schwellenberg (MA 177.153), written in the third person, presents her compliments to Lady Willoughby and refers to the promise by the Duchess of Ancaster of 2 tickets for the Warren Hastings trial.
