Notes
The microscope that Collingwood refers to in the letter is in the Morgan's collection (PML 352900). It was purchased by Arthur Amory Houghton at Sotheby's London, July 1932. This letter is referred to in the Sotheby's catalogue for the sale (July 25-26, page 57) and may have accompanied the microscope. The addressee is probably a representative of Sotheby's.
The letter has been stamped "Received / 9.May.1932."
On stationery with embossed letterhead: "39, Marlborough Hill, / St. John's Wood, N.W.8 / Primose Hill 4726." This is an address in London at which Collingwood is known to have lived (see Collingwood's death notice in The London Gazette, September 25, 1934).
This item is part of the Arthur A. Houghton, Jr., Lewis Carroll collection. The large collection includes printed books, letters, manuscripts, puzzles and games, personal effects and ephemera, which have been cataloged separately.

Summary
Verifying that he gave Frank G. Thomas a microscope in 1893 which had originally been given to him by his uncle, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll); adding "I believe this microscope was not new when my uncle gave it me, but that it had been in his possession some time"; asking to be remembered to Mr. Thomas.
