Summary
Concerning the provenance of a copy of Browning's Paracelsus: "The copy of my Poems, which you have been so good to acquire and to care about, belonged most likely to my aunt -- the half-sister of my father, Louisa Browning, who died recently at advanced age. The inscription was her own; since, had the book been a gift, some mention of the fact would appear in my own hand-writing -- of which you are now enabled to judge." (The book referred to is PML 131305.)
