Summary
Thanking Herbert for sending him a copy of "your Banyan book" [Herbert published a volume of poems, "Thanatopsis" with The Banyan Press in 1949]; questioning whether or not Herbert knows a friend of his cousin, saying, "It seems to me she has mentioned you, but I may be wrong"; noting that he is in the process of moving and specifying that he received a G.I. loan [Eberhart served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during WWII], commenting that now he has "a house of life because of that great terrible house of the dead".
