Summary
A collection of poems, many written by Richard Lovell Edgeworth, transcribed by a member of his family in the 1820s. Includes all the poems in Maria Edgeworth's Memoirs of her father (1820) as well as others, some apparently unrecorded and unpublished, including one on Davy's safety lamp, dated Nov. 1816, which makes a comparison with Aladdin. Other poems are initialed "F.B.E." [probably Francis Beaufort Edgeworth], "C.S.E." [probably Charles Sneyd Edgeworth], and "A.M.B." [probably Anna Maria Edgeworth Beddoes].
