Formerly in an oblong album of 3/4 green leather lettered Charterhouse 1885-1890 on upper cover; the album was originally 23.5 x 31.5 cm. The album was disbound and apparently not retained. All the photographs and sketches have been removed and retained.
Opposite fourteen of the photographs, Buzzard mounted drawings or caricatures, mainly of Charterhouse teachers, drawn by Max Beerbohm, who was also a student there at the time. There are a total of 21 drawings by Beerbohm, some of which are identified as to subject but none of which is signed. The drawings have been accessioned separately as 1981.120:1-21.

Summary
Album made while Buzzard was a student at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, containing photographs of sports teams, class pictures by years, faculty members, and continuing to include photographs, formal or informal, of his years at Oxford, holidays in Scotland, etc.; also a photograph of the medical staff at St. Thomas's Hospital, where Buzzard trained, and portrait photographs of Sir Thomas Barlow and Will Austie.
