Summary
Being a collection of letters related to Mme de Sévigné including fragments of a letter written over three days to her daughter dated March 24-27, 1671; with a letter from her son, Charles Sévigné, 1686 Mar. 22; a letter from her son-in-law, Francois de Castellane-Adhemar de Monteil, comte de Grignan, to Simon-Arnauld, marquis de Pomponne, 1679, Nov. 29, on his dismissal from the post of Ministre Secretaire d'Etat pour les Affaires Etrangeres; one letter from her granddaughter Pauline de Grignan, comtesse de Simiane, to [Bénigne-Jérôme du Trousset] d'Hericourt, dated June 28 [1733], one letter likely written by Joesph Adhémar, brother of the Comte de Grignan, son-in-law of Madame de Sévigné, a M. de la Garde, dated July 31, 1697; and a letter from the marquis de Chateauneuf to "Miladi' [Algernon Percy] dated 1783 Mar. 19.
