Collection consists of sixty-three letters to Giovanni Caccini, Ducal Administrator in Pisa, informing Caccini of the happenings in Florence, about the work on the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, Michelangelo's tomb, Palazzo Caccini, etc., and asking for news about the undertakings in Pisa, Palazzo dei Cavalieri and church of the Santo Stefano (St. Stephen), urging the delivery of the material still lacking for all of them and an early completion. Collection also includes one letter to Giovanni Caccini's brother Francesco, and three letters to Francesco Busini on related topics. One letter to Busini is written on the same page as a letter from Italian sculptor Battista Lorenzi, also to Busini (MA 2477.65).
