Summary
A pen and ink sketch of Thackeray standing and sketching two friends, one of whom is reclining in a easy chair, smoking a pipe; the other standing by a table lighting a pipe. Below the sketch is a note: "Dear Yardley. Having dropped into Hewson's rooms at 5 o'clock, I find him & Morgan John O'Connell in the following attitudes & Costume. Summers Harford waited yesterday upon his Sovereign & Frank Murphy has lost his voice. Roses is winning as usual at billiards & we all remain, Yours--W."
