Published, pp. 97-98, with two omissions: (1) no letter received this morning; fine weather ever since they left; (2) the mountains very grand. She is reminded of trip with parents and her schoolfriends, Louie and Mary. Tomorrow they reach Glasgow. Tell George that being married is not at all bad. Their servant, George Hobbs, is always being questioned about how long they have been married, and he replies, "recently." Trivia about what they have been doing, such as taking into their carriage a lamb which had followed them, and talk about friends.
