Summary
In the hand of Lady Clare S. Wortley saying that today Mary Millais told her that Effie stayed in Perth after her three sisters died of scarlet fever. Mrs. Gray wished her to return to Avon Bank but her father said, "NO, the house is too quiet." Miss Thompson [sic] therefore was brought to Perth to be her governess.
