Saying she hopes to receive her mother's letter forwarded from Stratford [she is visiting the Parkers]. She ended the term by receiving three prizes--for General Attention, History, and French. She is delighted that she will see George and Uncle Melville in London. What should she do for a bonnet, hers now being too small? Her mother must write very very often. With a note in the hand of Lady Clare S. Wortley about a book, Contes à ma fille, Effie's French prize, which is housed in "this tin box."
