Summary
Saying that she has enough frocks to last until she goes to London, but she does not know how she will get there, Mr. Ruskin not yet having come home. Unless he is there by the beginning of the holidays, she does not see how she can go at all "because there would be nobody to take me." But now Miss Ainsworth has just told her to write to Mrs. Ruskin, asking her to write when Mrs. Ruskin reaches London. If she does not come in time for Effie to go with the other young ladies, Miss Ainsworth will arrange "for a very proper person to send me with."
