Summary
Saying that the pincushions, for gifts, have not yet arrived; she has sent George, her mother, and Uncle Melville little presents. If she can't use, here, the pound her mother has sent, she will return it to be exchanged for a sovereign. No one yet knows whether she or Emily will get the French prize (much explanation). She has had her "Tartar Pelisse made nice for travelling." Miss Jane has left, urging her to remember all that she had said during the half-year, which she will try to do. Must now do her exercise.
